The narrow-leaflet drug cannabis of Colombia's Caribbean coast, grown around the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and exported in bulk to the US during the 1970s boom, when 'Santa Marta Gold' became a regional product name. It is a traditional population, not a bred variety; which exact seed lot went into early US hybrids is not documented.
